Sarah Kanu (she/they) is a collage artist and printmaker.
She is passionate about creating graphic & textured illustrations - driven by social concepts & non-fiction narratives - that highlight the medium's laborious spontaneity as a personal form of reclamation. They balance illustration and design which critique culture, identity, and our current society with intentional depictions of black joy and nature. Sarah aspires to support black students and non-black students of color in the realm of education (& all spaces that have historically unappreciated and underrepresented them). You can find her listening to MCU podcasts, spending time in the sun with her family & uplifting others whenever possible |
